We are the data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data under this Privacy Policy. We do not currently have a Data Protection Officer (DPO).

• Email address via Google Sign-In. We only receive your email address from Google for authentication purposes.

b. Automatically Collected Information

• Usage metadata related to your interaction with the vide.dev CLI, such as timestamps, request volume, and credit usage. We do not log or store the content of your AI prompts.
• Feedback and analytics data collected via Wiredash, which may include usage behavior and voluntary feedback.
• Website analytics collected via Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused platform that does not use cookies or track individuals.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To authenticate and manage your account.
• To operate and maintain the Service.
• To monitor system usage and ensure fair use.
• To analyze and improve the Service based on anonymized or aggregated feedback.
• To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

• Contractual necessity: To provide you access to the vide.dev CLI and associated AI services.
• Legitimate interests: To monitor and improve the Service, ensure security, and collect anonymous analytics.
• Consent: When you voluntarily provide feedback through Wiredash or authorize Google Sign-In.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share limited information with the following categories of third parties:

• OpenRouter (AI platform): Your prompts are sent to OpenRouter to retrieve AI responses. Metadata is logged but prompt content is not stored by vide.dev. For OpenRouter's data policy, see https://openrouter.ai.
• Google (Authentication): Google Sign-In is used for authentication. We receive your email address only. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Plausible Analytics: Website analytics are collected in aggregate form, without cookies or personal data. See https://plausible.io/data-policy.
• Wiredash: We use Wiredash for in-app feedback and analytics. Information is collected anonymously unless otherwise specified. See https://wiredash.io/privacy.

All service providers are contractually obligated to handle your data solely on our behalf and in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:

• Account-related data is retained until your account is deleted.
• Metadata is retained for operational and analytical purposes.
• Feedback is retained as long as relevant for product improvement.
• Aggregate analytics data may be stored indefinitely.
